'Lace up leather (?) "Gaiters half - how do you fasten them?
Just found a couple of old 1903 half leather 'gaiters farmers in the attic, and in very good condition, but instead of buttons on the side of the clutch , they have only a brace at the top and leather laces threaded into a vertical loop on one side, that you 'look' at the thread through the eye at the other end of the hose, but they are not long enough to bind together. Does anyone know how you linked this style of hose, as knowledge seems to have passed from my family?
