is this a concussion?
I fell when I was snow boarding for the first time ever. i was going really dast and couldn't stop, suddenly fell back really hard and hit my head (i WAS wearing a helmet) I felt tired and my head still hurt after. next day still hurt same with day after that.
What is it called? is it a concussion?
p.s. mom won't take me to the doctor? because it doesnt hurt that much/often anymore (3 days later)
It is most likely a concussion. Since it's been three days, you most likely aren't in any immediate danger of getting worse, unless you don't treat your concussion with complete physical and cognitive (brain) rest. You should avoid exercise and doing things like texting, playing video games, reading on the computer until you have had no symptoms of your injury for seven (7) days. Then return to physical activity very slowly. If symptoms return with activity, you should definitely see a medical professional who understands head injuries.
